      Red Oak, Ia., June 27 ? A pretty home wedding took place at high noon Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Slump, 1109 Corning street, Red Oak, when their daughter, Miss Zula Elizbeth Slump, was united in marriage to Mark W. Bass, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bass, living north of Red Oak. The marriage lines were read by the Rev. L.L. Weis of the Methodist church in the presence of near relatives and invited friends. The bride wore a white georgette dress and carried a bouquet of bride roses. She was attended by Miss Gertrude Wright of Maryville, Mo. The groom was attended by Merrill Slump, brother of the bride. Following the ceremony and congratulations, a wedding dinner was served.
      The bride is a graduate of the Henderson, Ia., high school and the Nebraska Wesleyan university at Lincoln. For four years she has been teaching school, teaching a grade in the Elliott school and in the consolidated high school at Stennett. For the last year she has taught in the high school at Massena, Ia. The groom graduated from the Stennett consolidated school and attended the agricultural college of the University of Nebraska. For the last year he has been farming near Red Oak.
      Shortly after the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Bass left by motor for a honeymoon trip to Denver and other western points, expecting to be gone two weeks. After their return, they will make their home on a farm, four miles northeast of Red Oak.
      Besides the parents and other relatives attending the wedding the following out-of-town guests were present: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Slump and daughter, Grace, of Oakland, Ia.; Miss Esther Wollenhaputl of Massena, Miss Elsie handley of Fontanelle, Miss Fern Steiner of Emerson and Miss Gertr4ude Wright of Maryville, Mo.
