He is survived by his wife, Christine Galiani Bassett; two children, Luke Auman and Sarah (Sadie) Jayroe Bassett; his parents, Juanita and Paul Bassett Sr.; a sister, Edith Ann Bassett; two brothers, Peter and Philip Bassett; his mother and father-in-law, Dr. Alfred and Sarah Galiani. Mr. Bassett was a charter member of Cornerstone Christian Church. His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
