Cecile M. Quirion, 90, of Derby, VT passed away peacefully on October 20, 2017 in Derby. She was born on April 11, 1927 in Waterville, Quebec to Pierre and Helene (Beaudoin) Bessette. On July 1, 1950 she married Herve Quirion who predeceased her in 1965. During her lifetime, Cecile was a seamstress. Among her hobbies, she enjoyed playing the piano, organ and accordion. She loved all family gatherings, knitting and crocheting. She was a very social person and enjoyed going out with her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Lisa Quirion of Newport, VT, Danielle Austin and her husband Keith of West Charleston, VT, Rocky Quirion of Newport, VT and Yvon Quirion of Granby, VT. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, three sisters, and four brothers all of Canada and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons: Peter Quirion in 1985 and Gilles Quirion in 2012. A private family service will be held.
