Bass, 77, of Emerson will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Emerson United Methodist Church. Mr. Bass died Feb. 14 at his farm near Emerson. Survivors include children: Dave Bass and wife, Betty, of Red Oak, Jon Bass and wife, Deb, of Council Bluffs, Jim Bass of Council Bluffs, Kathy Franzmeier of Clarion and Ken Bass and wife, Tami, of Council Bluffs; eight grandchildren: Kent, Amy, Suzanne, Tricia, Joni, Bradley and Kayla Bass and Laura Franzmeier; brother, Wayne Bass, and wife, Roberta, of Eugene, Ore.; sister-in-law, Shirley Honeyman, of Emerson; brother-in-law, Hadley Parker, of Red Oak. Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. Burial will be in Emerson Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to Emerson American Legion or Emerson Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
