Elaine Marie Bassett
Elaine Marie Bassett, 57, of Naples, FL, passed away March 13, 2010 at Avow Hospice of Naples with her family by her side.
Born in Chicago, IL on June 11, 1952, she moved to Virginia with her husband in 1976. She retired from US Airways Marketing Department in Roanoke, VA in 1994 and moved to Naples, FL in 2004.
Elaine is survived by her Husband of 34 years, Gary; daughters Miranda and Victoria; parents Fred and Therese Zander; Brother Edward; Sister Dorothy; and finally her beloved Pekingese dogs, Buddy and Betsy.
She was pre-deceased by a brother Tom and a son Michael who will be interned with her.
Always the entertainer, Elaine was loved by family, friends and church members for her quick wit and outrageous humor. As a hobby she loved to write short stories and novels.
A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 777 Mooring Line Drive Naples, FL 34102 on Thursday March 25, 2010 at 10:30 AM with committal following in the church columbarium.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the memorial fund in Elaine's name to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
