Elizabeth A. Bessette passed away after a long battle with diabetes and dementia on Dec. 1, 2020. She was born on Aug. 6, 1958, to Paul L. Maney and Anita R. (Nee) Rafferty, who preceded their daughter in death, in Chicopee, Mass. She leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Duane (George) Bessette Jr.; daughters, Angela M. Bessette and Christina M. Bessette; and son, Anthony R. Bessette. She also leaves behind her sister, Bernadette Ramirez; and brothers, Paul Maney II, Robert Maney and Sean Maney; father-in-law, Duane Bessette Sr.; sister-in-law, Diana Bessette-McGee; brother-in-law, Jon McGee; and niece, Megan Bessette-Hardy. Elizabeth loved her many pets of dogs, parakeets, hamsters and guinea pigs. She was especially fond of her 10 grandchildren and had adopted four of them: Ian M. Bessette, Eric M. Bessette, Dawson N. Bessette and Calista R. Bessette. She was a dearly beloved wife, mother and friend. We commend her soul to our Heavenly Father to everlasting peace and love. A funeral Mass will be announced in the spring or summer once COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
