Susan Jean Bessette

Susan Jean (Marr) Bessette, 62, passed away peacefully, on July 8, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Susan was the daughter of the late Marie and Ralph Marr. Susan is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart, Tom Bessette and her 3 boys, Kevin, Stephen, and Michael. Susan also leaves 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Parker, Liam, Emery, and Leonora Jean.
A life-long resident of Pawcatuck, she built a home together with her husband, and raised 3 sons. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and weekends on Sandy Point.
Susan showed her love through actions by helping people when they needed it the most. She will be missed for her loving companionship, talks, and chocolate chip cookies.
Her family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, July 13th from 4-7 pm at the Mystic Funeral Home located on Route 1 in Mystic. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 14th at 11:00 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church 60 Liberty St. Pawcatuck. Following her mass, she will be buried at St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Michael School.
