Member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Groveport. Life member of VFW Post 3424 and American Legion Southway Post 144. Survived by wife, Eileen Bass; son, Raymond T. (Janet) Bass of Louisville, Ky.; daughters, Sandra L. (Ron) Bowman of Millersport, Oh., Judy A. (Darryl) Welch of Hebron, Oh., Linda Bass of Millersport, Oh.; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Jean (Harry) Wilson of Tallmadge, Oh.; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. Rosary 7 p.m. and VFW service to follow at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 5684 Groveport Rd., Groveport. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Grant/Riverside Hospice. The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Traditions on Stygler Rd.
