Albert M. Bassett
Albert M. “Al” Bassett, 80, of Quincy, passed August 15, 2010 in Tallahassee. Graveside service was held August 18, 2010 at the Sunnydell Cemetery, Gretna, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Jane S. Bassett of Quincy; son, Lewis Glenn Bassett of Quincy; daughter, Wilma Ann Hine of Alpharetta, GA; two grandchildren, Anna Camille Hine and Julia Holland Hine, both of Alpharetta, GA. He is also survived by a brother and his wife, Charles and Mary Emma Bassett of Gretna, FL; brother-in-law and his wife, Lewis and Ann Sapp of Atlanta; sister-in-law and her husband, Margaret and Bill Burtchaell of St. Petersburg, FL; and a sister-in-law, Doris Bassett of Gretna, FL; and by his best two companions, Danny and Teddy. He was born in Gretna, FL and was a lifetime resident of the area. He served in the U S Army and was a graduate of the University of Florida and Florida State University. He was a retired coach and educator.

Albert M. "Al" Bassett Albert M. "Al" Bassett, 80, of Quincy, passed Aug. 15, 2010, in Tallahassee. He was born in Gretna, Fla., and was a lifetime resident of the area. He served in the US Army and was a graduate of the University of Florida and Florida State University. He was a retired Coach and Educator. Graveside service will be held Wed., Aug. 18, 2010, at 11 a.m. EDT at the Sunnydell Cemetery, Gretna, Fla. Family will receive friends after the service at the Gretna Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Jane S. Bassett of Quincy; son, Lewis Glenn Bassett of Quincy; daughter, Wilma Ann Hine of Alpharetta, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Anna Camille Hine and Julia Holland Hine, both of Alpharetta, Ga. He is also survived by a brother and his wife, Charles and Mary Emma Bassett of Gretna, Fla.; brother-in-law and wife, Lewis and Ann Sapp of Atlanta; sister-in-law and her husband, Margaret and Bill Burtchaell of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Doris Bassett of Gretna, Fla.; and his best two companions, Danny and Teddy.
