Elaine Dick
Elaine Dick, 51, of Ellenton, slipped peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 21, 2011. She was born in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Patrick and Eleanor Bassett. Elaine lived a life wrapped in the love of Jesus. She would have us remember one thing: know Jesus, live, walk, trust and rest in Him. Her family cherishes the memories of her faithful love for all, which was rooted in Jesus' faithful love for her. Elaine was a beautiful and highly cherished pastor's wife who spent many hours praying, studying and teaching the Bible, and encouraging others with a heart of compassion and love that was an overflow of God's Spirit in her. Elaine is survived by her loving husband Ray whom she co-labored for Christ for many years; her brothers Patrick Bassett and Joseph Bassett and sister Lorraine Siragusa all of Rochester. Elaine is also survived by her loving church family at Refuge Calvary Chapel in Bradenton. A memorial of Elaine's life and a celebration of her homecoming to heaven will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM at the auditorium at Ballard Elementary School. Her interment will be on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Skyway Memorial Cemetery following a brief time of prayer and worship in the chapel at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to either the Ellenton Hospice House, 4151 37th St, East Palmetto, FL 34221 or Refuge Calvary Chapel, PO Box 373, Bradenton, FL 34206; all donations to the church in Elaine's name will be used to purchase and send Bibles to the mission field for the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
