  Notes	The Otsego Farmer, Cooperstown, New York, 28 Jul 1966 Obituary, Benjamin A. Wakefied Benjamin A. Wakefield, aged 90, of Edmeston, RD, died Friday, July 22, at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, following a long illness. Mr. Wakefield was born March 4, 1876, in the Town of New Lisbon, the son of Hezekiah and Hulda (Bishop) Wakefield. He married Rose Burdick, who died in 1959. He was a retired dairy farmer and served as a school trustee in the area for many years. Surviving are three sons, Floyd and Lee, both of Edmeston and Edwin of Michigan; a brother, Harvey of Frankfort; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday from the Houk-Johnston Funeral Home in Edmeston, with the Rev. Leonard M. Davis, retired Methodist clergyman, officiating. Burial was in Edmeston Union Cemetery.
