He was a member of Resurrection Fellowshipo Church. He was a dairy farmer. He is survived by five sons, Mike Bass of Bandana, Steve Bass of Paducah, James Bass of Ragland, Gary Bass of Bandana, and Roy Humphries of Smithland; five daughters, Debbie Vinson of Kevil, Betty Garrett of La Center, Linda Water of Paducah, Judy McCoy of Herrin, Illinois, and Marilyn Sanders of Galesbuerg, Illinois; 26 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchilren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death of his wife Ruth Bass; one son, Timmy Bass; one daughter, Carla Bass; and three brothers. Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center, with the Rev. Richard Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Tyners Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday after 11 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center. Memorial contributions may be sent to Resurrection Fellowship Church or GIdeons International, P.O. Box 10, Kevil, Ky.
