Brown Bass (1934 ? 2017)
Brown G. Bass 83, of Columbia, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.
Graveside service will be on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia.
Brown was born on July 23, 1934 in Seminole, Ala. the son of Robert L. and Mary C. (Givins) Bass, who preceded him in death.
He was married on Oct. 13, 1952 in Arcadia, Fla. to Betty Poole who preceded him in death on July 23, 2017.
He retired from GTE as an installer. Brown enjoyed to fish and loved to be around his family.
Survivors include his two children, Marilynn Johns of Seattle, Wash. and Richard Bass of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Janet Bass of Fulton; six grandchildren, Graeme, Javis, Mikel, Carey, Michael and Stephanie; and five great-grandchildren, Jalyn, Gage, Cora, Hannah and Jaxon.
He was also preceded in death by one son, James Bass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Missouri Humane Society, 616 Big Bear Blvd, Columbia, MO 65202.
