Howard Perry Bass
HOWARD PERRY BASS, 72, was born December 6, 1937, to M.C. and Mamie Bass in Bryan, Texas, and went to be with his Lord and Savior August 17, 2010, after a brief illness in a Houston hospital. He spent his career in the engineering field and loved hunting, getting away to weekend country life and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by wife of 50 years Betty; daughter Jo Ann Sheppard, Tony; son Randall Bass, Sheryl; grandsons Austin and Andrew Sheppard; brother John Bass, Marjorie; sisters Marion Libensperger, Skip; Debby Johnson, Billy; Norma Mintz, James; Bonnie Bass and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests with gratitude that contributions in Howard's memory be directed to M.D. Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital or the charity of one's choice. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 2:00 pm with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
