- Mary Cooley Obituary
Mary Ellen Cooley, 82, 3025 W. Sycamore St., died at 6:24 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Sycamore Village Health Care. Born June 10, 1918,
in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Ernest and Grace L. (Bass) Bassett. On
Nov. 24, 1938, she married Robert D. Cooley, who survives.
She graduated in 1936 from Kokomo High School. She was a housewife and
a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church since 1924. She was al
member of Eastern Star OES #89.
Surviving are her husband of Kokomo; two sons and a daughter-in-law,
Daniel L. Cooley, Kokomo; Dennis E. and Lois Cooley, Greer, S.C.; two
daughters and sons-in law, Carolee S. and Kerry McLallin, North Olmsted, Ohio;
Cindy K. and Bill Ramseyer, Kokomo; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and
Elizabeth Bassett, Sweetser; a sister, Helen L. Cosand, Kokomo; seven grand-
daughters, Cathy Cooley, Candy Lengenfelter, Andrea Kehn; Dr. Dawy Cooley,
Jennifer Cooley, Melissa Ramseyer, Amanda Ramseyer, four great-grandchildren.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main
St., Russiaville. The Revs. Ronald F. VerLee and Harold Williams will
officiate. Entombment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens, Kokomo. Friends may
call from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Oct. 13) at the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Harold Williams Scholarship fund, with
envelopes available at the funeral home.
