Kevin Everett Bass

Kevin Everett Bass, fondly known as "Hollywood", was born to Vernon and Donna Rae Bass, on May 17, 1951, in North Platte, Nebraska. Kevin's caring spirit will be carried on by his wife, Chris Ann; his sister, Kristine; his children: Trent (Erin), Tara (Aaron), and Dan (Chandal), along with grandchildren Maddie, Parker, Nicholas, Zaven, Isaiah, Devon, Samantha, Ayden, and Axton, great grandchild Amilia, and nieces Tasha and Toriee. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Elizabeth, niece Dawn and nephew Jeff. He graduated from North Platte High School (1969) and played most available sports. He had a short stint on a golf scholarship at the University of Nebraska before marrying his high school sweetheart, Joyce (Martin) Rundstrom. Joyce and Kevin had Trent during their 4 years of marriage. After, he went to Alaska to work on the pipeline from 1975-1977. His beautiful daughter Tara was born during his relationship with Cindy Kadin. In 1980, Kevin started dating Chris Ann and moved to Colorado. They were married in 1984 and had their son, Daniel. In May 2024, they celebrated 40 years of marriage. Kevin worked 15+ years as a drywaller. For the next 20 years he worked at True Value Distribution Center working his way up to manager with a perfect attendance record. After retiring, Kevin enjoyed mowing the greens at Saddleback Golf Course; the early quiet mornings on his "tractor" were probably the highlight of his career. Aside from a life-time love of golf, in his early years he loved playing on the Larry's Glass softball team in North Platte, Nebraska. Kevin passed away on July 27th, 2024. To honor Kevin's memory, a service will be held at Saddleback Golf Course, 8631 Frontier St, Firestone, CO 80520 on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
