Mrs. William Bassett
ULYSSES, Pa. ? Funeral services for Mrs. Belle Bassett, 72, wife of William E. Bassett, were held Friday, August 12, from her home. The Rev. N. Johnstone, retired Baptist pastor, officiated and burial was made in the Ulysses Cemetery.
Mrs. Bassett died early Wednesday morning, August 10, at her home near Ulysses following a few months? illness.
She was born at Ulysses, November 15, 1876, daughter of George and Sarah Bennett. On January 28, 1898, she married William E. Bassett and spent her entire life in Ulysses Township.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, George and Merle; a daughter, Mrs. Alvin Lounsbury, and three grandson, Floyd, Roger and Raymond Lounsbury, all of Ulysses; also one sister, Mrs. Allen Brewster of Corning, N.Y.; two brothers, Bython and Burt Bennett of Ulysses; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bassett was a member of the Ulysses Baptist Church.
