He was born February 1, 1935 in Gainesville, Florida. Survived by his wife Roslee Canellas Bass of 42 wonderful years; only child and son John E. Bass and loving daughter-in-law, Tina L. Bass of Jacksonville; two granddaughters, one of Jacksonville, Priscilla Bass and her boyfriend James Pickett, the other granddaughter of South Carolina, Jara David and her husband Chris David; one beautiful great granddaughter, Kaleigh David; two sisters, Clara Fail and Florene Harrison; one brother, L.J. Bass; and several nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed greatly. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Monday, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Rev. Tommy Capps of Faith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
