Michelle L. Bass
SCRANTON - Michelle L. Bass, 20, of Scranton, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in rural Quenemo. She was born Feb. 24, 1984, in Ottawa, to Jimmie Ray Bass and Charlene Brecheisen. She had lived in Ottawa for 15 years and then in the Quenemo area until just recently moving to rural Scranton. She graduated from Lyndon High School in 2003. She had worked at Breck's Green Acres restaurant for several years and worked at Blimpie's in Ottawa. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Danny Brecheisen, on Dec. 10, 2002. Survivors include her mother, Charlene, Quenemo; her father and stepmother, Jimmie and Beth, Canberra, Australia; two brothers, Jim Bass III and Rodney Bass, both of Ottawa; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Brecheisen, Lyndon; and her paternal grandparents, Jim and Marianne Bass, Ottawa. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Pleasant Community Church, southeast of Lyndon. Internment will be in Vassar Cemetery. Ms. Bass will lie in state from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Michelle Bass Memorial Fund and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, Box 160, Lyndon, Kan. 66451.
