BASSETT-HILL (JACQUES), PEGGY J. - Of Swartz Creek, age 92, departed this life, Monday, March 18, 2024 at Springvale Assisted Living.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Paul Holland officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Children?s Home, Inc, 1515 Walcott Road, Pargould, Arkansas 72450.
Visitation 3 p.m. ? 7 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024 and 12 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Peggy was born in Kennett, Missouri on April 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Clyde and Zelma (Hawkins) Jacques.
She was a 1948 graduate of Clarkston High School, Clarkston, Missouri.
Peggy was a member of Church of Christ in Swartz Creek and dearly loved her church family.
Peggy worked for General Motors for 25 years in Customer Service.
Peggy was loved by so many. She was always positive and could light up a room with her beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eyes.
She leaves lasting memories for our family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed.
Surviving are children, Sheila Duplanty, Yolanda McAlister, Melanie (William) Anderson and Kevin (Trang) McAlister; stepson, Steven (Yetta) Hill; grandchildren, Nichole Duplanty, Tanya Boucher and Kelsi (Dakota) Rivard; great-grandchildren, Denis Duplanty, Matthew and Elizabeth Boucher, Savanna Rivard, Hudson Rivard and Mason Rivard; siblings, Jerry (Shirley) Jacques, Jonelle Everett, Clyde (Judy), Jr. Jacques, Linda (Joe) Swafford and Tom Jacques.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Carroll ?Bud? Bassett; William Hill, Jr. in 2019; grandson, Derrick McAlister; brother Jackie Jacques; sisters, Carmalita Lance, Louella Ackers; brothers-in-law, James Lance and Thomas Everett.
