Howard Victor Bassett
MONAHANS -- Howard Victor Bassett, 68, died Monday, Feb. 5, 1996, at Ward Memorial Hospital in Monahans.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Monahans with the Rev. Gordon Cox officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery in Sebastopol, Miss. Funeral arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
He was born in Sebastopol, Miss., and lived in Monahans since 1950. He was the owner of Howard's Drive Inn and was retired from Bass Enterprises. He was a member of the Church of God.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Virginia Bassett of Monahans; mother, Nellie Bassett of Union, Miss.; sons, Victor Bassett of Monahans and Doyle Bassett of Plano; daughters, Peggy Saint-Michel of Fort Worth and Tammie Bassett of New Quay, England; brothers, Stancel Bassett of Abilene, Dorman Bassett of Dallas and Henry Bassett of Union, Miss.; sisters, Delma Bassett of Portland, Ore., Yvonne Beckham of Meridian, Miss., Edah Tatum of Union, Miss., Jo Smith of Meridian, Miss., Martha Forneau of Rose Hill, Miss., and Mary Brown of Moil, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
