Mildred Geraldine Bassett

Mildred Geraldine Bassett, 74 of Elk Fork Road, Middlebourne departed this life at her home, July 18, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Mildred was born March 24, 1946 in Tyler County, the daughter of the late Danny Eli and Geradine Rice Neff.
Mildred was a 1965 graduate of Tyler County High School, an employee of Corning Glass and an employee of Sistersville General Hospital from which she retired after 17 years of service.
She was a member of Just As I Am Ministry on Elk Fork Road. She started church at Lazears Chapel in 1978 and has been faithfully serving her Savior since then.
Mildred is survived by her husband of 54 ½ years, Pastor James Harold ?Bud? Bassett, a daughter Vicky Geraldine (Melvin) Nichols and grandson, Ryan James Snyder . She is also survived by one brother Michael Eli (Mary Beth) Neff and a sister Mary Jane Neff all of Elk Fork Road, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her loving church family and dear friends.
Family will receive friends Wednesday at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne 11:00 am until 1:00 pm the time of the service with Pastor Roger Yost officiating. Interment in Lazears Chapel Cemetery.
