Weddings
Bassett-Burke
Katharine Bassett wore a veil from lace that belonged to her great-great-grandmother for her May 31 wedding to James R. Burke of Mill Valley, California, at Christ Episcopal Church in Lake Oswego. The bride also carried her great-grandmother's handkerchief, which was carried by her grandmother and mother at their weddings. A reception followed at the Town Club. A honeymoon in New England and Washington, D.C. was planned.
The bride, a graduate of Stanford University, is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John W. Bassett. The bridegroom, a graduate of Indiana University, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Burke of Highland Park, Illinois.
