Susie B. Howard
Williamsburg - Susie B. Howard, died Saturday, April 8, in Riverside Regional Convalescent Center.
She was born in Barhamsville and had been a Williamsburg resident for many years.
A member of Mount Nebo Baptist Church, she was founder and member of Second Senior Choir. She was a member of Missionary Society, former superintendent and teacher of Sunday school. She was also former treasurer of the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Taylor and Delores Howard, both of Williamsburg; one son, Oscar Howard Jr. of Williamsburg; five sisters, Carrie Jones and Laura Johnson, both of Barhamsville, Frances Wake of Middlesex County, Malinda Green of King and Queen County and Gladys Lee of Toano; four brothers, Enoch Bassett of Lanexa, Clarence Bassett and Curtis Bassett, both of Barhamsville, and the Reverend William Bassett of Toano; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are incomplete. Whiting's Funeral Home is in charge.
The family will be at 210 Alesa Drive, Williamsburg.
