Services for Matilda Bass Will be Conducted at Long
Mrs. Matilda M. Bass, 71, wife of the Rev. Edward Bass, pastor of Wesleyan M.E. Church at Long, died Sunday morning at her home in the neighboring town after an extended illness.
Besides the husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Romaine Kennedy, of Cutler, Ohio, and Mrs. Marie Stevens, at home; one son Ira Bass, of Dayton, and ten grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at one p.m. at the Wesleyan M.E. church with burial in the Clemens cemetery. The body will be returned to the residence from the Turpen-McKnight funeral home here at noon Wednesday.
