Cecil R. Bass, Jr, 76, of East Providence, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at his home. He was the husband of Dorothy C. (Wills) Bass to whom he was married for 51 years.
Born in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of the late Cecil R. and Elizabeth (Miller) Bass, Sr.
Mr. Bass was a truck driver for the United States Postal Service before retiring in 2012. He was an avid football and basketball fan. He loved camping and fly fishing.
Besides his wife he was the loving father of seven children, Gary Morgan, Nyree Bass, Lea Gomes, Jonathan Bass, Jael Bass, Timothy Bass and Michael Bass, sixteen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, three sisters, Karen Napier, Denise Clement and Pamela Gaines, one brother, Ronald Bass and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral services will be private.
