Timothy E. Dornan
Timothy Edward Dornan, a resident of Harrison Township, Michigan, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022 at the age of 66. He was born on February 16, 1956 in Detroit, MI to the late Donald M. and Greta M. (Gibb) Dornan. On October 12, 1974, he was united in marriage to Wendy Sue Bassett. Together they celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary last year.
Tim was a truck driver that transported and delivered heavy and large machinery. When the children were young, trips to Northern Michigan created many family memories. Family trips to Amherstburg in Canada to visit grandparents and to California and Italy were also memorable. Tim enjoyed bird watching, as the bird feeder was always full. Many cardinals came to feed, as they were his favorite bird. He will be remembered as a great musician, playing the drums in several bands. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, loved camping, and regularly attended car shows.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Wendy, his children Kevin (Sarah Miller) Dornan and Kerry (Robert Andrews) Black. He was the proud grandfather of Alexis, Adriana, Braden, Alyssa, and Amelia. His grandchildren fondly referred to him as "Papa." The family tree grows stronger with the addition of great-grandson Kolton. Also surviving are siblings Wayne (Diane) Dornan, Murray Dornan, Lynn (Randy) Dornan, Judy (Mark) Bodensteiner, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings Margo, Patty, and Donna.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, Mt. Clemens. A celebration of Tim's life will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Premier Events Center, 20400 South Nunneley Road, Clinton Twp, 48035.
