Sidney Arthur Bass Passed Away Sunday
Sidney Arthur Bass was born in Clayton county, Iowa, August 26, 1883, and passed to his reward January 31, 1937. He was the fourth child of Wm. Nelson and Violetta Graham Bass. His life had been lived in Fayette county with the exception of four years spent in Montana. For the last twenty-six years he made his home with his Aunt, Nancy Jane Bass.
He will be missed by his neighbors and friends for he was well known for his willingness to lend a helping hand when the opportunity would come.
He leaves to mourn his going two brothers, Herbert of Fayette, and Orin Harvey of Macomb, Mo., a number of relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Walter, and his sister, Bertha.
The funeral service was at the home Wednesday conducted by Rev. W.H. Dyer, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist church, at 2:00. Burial was made in the family cemetery north of Fayette.
