Dorothy B. Burrows
CHARLTON - Dorothy B. (Bassett) Burrows, 88, of Fairhaven died
Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at the Masonic Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was the widow of Frank Burrows.
The daughter of the late George A. and Eleanor C. (York) Bassett, she
was born in Fairhaven, where she lived most of her life. She graduated from
the Swain School of Design after studying fashion illustratio
Mrs. Burrows formerly was a photographic illustrator at Cherry's
department store.
She was a member of Centre Methodist Church in Fairhaven. She enjoyed
reading and sewing.
Survivors include a son, Donald E. Burrows of Grafton; two nieces,
Barbara Gaspar of Mattapoisett and Margaret Rose of Canton, Conn.; several
other nieces and nephews; and three stepgrandchildren.
She was the sister of the late George A. Bassett Jr.
Her funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Fairhaven Funeral Home,
117 Main St., Fairhaven. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
