Walter “Buck” Bass, LTV Machinist
Arlington - Walter "Buck" Bass, a retired aerospace machinist for LTV, died Wednesday at a Bedford nursing home. He was 62. Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. Burial will be in Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton. Mr. Bass was born in the Columbia area of South Carolina, where he lived until moving 25 years ago to Arlington. He retired from LTV in July after 25 years. Mr. Bass was a member of Chapel of the Lake Church in Wills Point. He was a member of United Aerospace Workers Union Local 848. Survivors: Wife, Julia Bass of Arlington; two daughters, Micke Kelch of Fort Worth and Julie Nicholson of Greenville; three sisters; and four grandchildren.
