SOUTH FORK AND PORTAGE ? WADSWORTH ? Evelyn L., 91, formerly of South Fork and Portage, died May 29, 2010, at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born Aug. 24, 1918, in South Fork, daughter of George R. and Catharine Ann (Nissley) Bassett. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Herbert B. Wadsworth, who died July 4, 2000. Survived by sons, Gary, married to Janet Hodge, Baltimore, Md.; David, married to Sharron Ricketts, Seattle, Wash; and Earl, married to Joan Robinson, Richland; daughters, Jane, wife of Danny Hutzel, Summerhill, and Janis, wife of William McAllister, Columbiana, Ohio; also 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. For eight years, Evelyn, along with her husband, owned and operated Liberty Park. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Portage, where she sang in the choir. Past member of First United Methodist Church, South Fork, and their Elderberries group. She also belonged to the South Fork Women?s Club and Order of the Eastern Star and served as a leader with the Cub Scouts. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork. Viewing at Bethany United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. MaryAnn Long. Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
