Sharla was born on April 2, 1965, in Quanah, to Robert ?Pete? and Jerry (Daugherty) Francis. She was a graduate of Caprock High School in Amarillo, and later married Jimmy Bass, on August 11, 1984. Sharla loved horses and was a barrel racer. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Disney movies. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Bass, of the home; father, Robert ?Pete? Francis, of Granite Shoals, Texas; sister Shonda Gayle (Eric) Hall, of Spring, Texas; brother, Bill Francis of Granite Shoals, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Her mother, Jerry Daugherty Francis, preceded her in death in 2014. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Quanah Memorial Park, with Dr. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow under direction of Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30, Thursday, May 17th, at Smith Funeral Home.
