Patricia Bass
1937 - 2024
Patricia "Pat" Bass, 86, passed away on January 12 at the Centers for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT. She was the wife of the late Thomas Bass who passed on August 22, 2023.
Pat was born on March 18, 1937, in Hoosick Falls, daughter of Ralph and Mary (Lopardo) Liporace. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Hoosick Falls. Pat was employed by Dunham's Furniture in Bennington, VT, and Rensselaer County as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of the Red Hats Society, Lady's Home Bureau, and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church all in Hoosick Falls. Pat liked doing word puzzles and she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
Survivors include her children Cathy (Mark) Klebbe, Mark (Patti) Bass, Sharon (Dorothy) Bass, son-in-laws Rob Cottrell and Ron Carter, eight grandchildren, Tricia (Andrew), Robbie, Betsy (Chris), Michael, Kevin (Samantha), Katie (Josh), Thomas (Amanda), and Rachel, eight great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her daughters Peggy Cottrell and Sandra Carter, great granddaughter Lilliahna Klebbe, sister Josephine Liporace and three brothers Alfred, Leonard, and John Liporace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday January 19 at 11:00 am, from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Burial will follow the mass at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hoosick Falls, Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00am until the start of the mass. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandra Bass Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund through the funeral home.
