      Becomes Bride of Mr. Joseph Hart Grubbs, of Kansas, on Christmas Day

      The marriage of Christine Bass and Mrs. Joseph Hart Grubbs was beautifully solemnized on Saturday, December the twenty-fifth, at three o?clock in the afternoon at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Bass, Midnight, Mississippi.
      The bride, given in marriage by her father, J.W. Bass, was attired in a traveling suit of taupe with accessories to match. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and valley lilies. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Lucile James, as matron of honor, who wore a suit of velvet and carried an arm bouquet of sunburst roses. Mr. Leon Bass served as the groom?s best man. Mr. Lumbley Miller and Miss Hallie Slaughter were attendants.
      Preceding the entrance of the bridal party was ?O Promise Me? sung by Mrs. Webb accompanied by Miss Ruth Campbell who also played the wedding march. After the ceremony there was a short reception after which Mr. and Mrs. Grubbs left for Topeka, Kansas, their future home. They were the recipients of many beautiful and useful gifts.
