The Rev. and Mrs. Tarbox were united in marriage in 1897, then went to Quinto, Ecuador, where he was the first Protestant missionary. Twins, boy and girl, were born to them in Ecuador but passed away in infancy. Because of unfavorable climate conditions they returned to this country and for some years Rev. Tarbox was active in orphanage work. Later he supplied as pastor in various Iowa churches.
At the age of 70 years Mr. Tarbox quit the ministry and began his work as a photographer, which activity was his lifelong hobby.
Surviving beside the widow, is a daughter, Mrs. Maurive (Margarita) Stapley of Columbus, Ind. Mr. and Mrs. Stapley came for the last sacred rites and will be accompanied home by Mrs. Tarbox who will make her home with them.
