He was brought home to Franklin when he was six weeks old. He lived the rest of his life in Simpson Co., other than the time spent in school and World War I Dr. Neely began his education at Miss Maude Blair's private school. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1930. He received his pre-dental college course from Western Kentucky Teacher's College. He entered the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he was a member of P Omega Fraternity, graduating in 1936. He returned to Franklin and practiced dentistry with his father for four years. In 1938 he did post-graduate work at the University of Tennessee........
