Mrs. Steve Bassett
FORT VALLEY, July 19,- Funeral services for Mrs. Steve Bassett, who died at her home here Saturday afternoon, were conducted Sunday afternoon at the home and the interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Bassett was one of the most highly esteemed citizens of the community and her death followed an illness of about a month’s duration. She is survived by her husband and four children, Steve, Noble, and Ralph Bassett, and a daughter, Miss Lucy Bassett. There is one grandchild and many other relatives, among whom is a brother, Dr. Millard S. Brown of Fort Valley.
The Rev. Mr. Shipley connected the services which were largely attended.
