Jeffrey D. Bassett, age 50 of Flowery Branch, GA died Sunday, July 28, 2013 following a long battle with cancer. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Blackshear Place Baptist Church, Flowery Branch. Rev. Jonathan Humphreys and Mr. Jim Wallace will officiate. Mr. Bassett will be cremated after the service. The Family will receive friends Wednesday, July, 31, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Backpack Ministry at Blackshear Place Baptist Church, 3428 Atlanta Hwy., Flowery Branch, GA 30542. Jeff is survived by his wife Nancy Bassett, Flowery Branch; Son, Jason Bassett, Flowery Branch; Stepdaughter, Kim And Bryon Everett, Flowery Branch; Stepson, Jonathan and Laura Humphreys, Savannah; Grandchildren, Stephen Everett, Michael Everett, Sarah Everett, Ruthie Everett, Lydia Humphreys, Joshua Humphreys, Marrianna Humphreys; Mother, Rhoda Parker Bassett, Panama City Beach, FL; Mother In-law, Betty Green, Royston; Brother, Terry Bassett, Panama City Beach, FL. Mr. Bassett was born in Miami, FL and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 45 years. He was employed with UPS and a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church, Flowery Branch.
