BASSETT - Danny L., 64, Sidman, died peacefully at home February 26, 2022; with his brother Tim and beloved cat "Baby Girl" at his side. Born November 3, 1957, in Johnstown, son of Richard and Leola (Jones) Bassett. Preceded in death by parents; infant brother, Robert; stepmother, Carol (Sikora) Bassett; and nephew, Richie Dunn. Survived by brother, Timothy, married to Sharon (Johns), South Fork; sisters, Valerie, wife of Michael Varnish, South Fork; and Leslie Bassett (Jeff), Kewaskum, Wisconsin; nephews, Timmy (Krista) and Casey (Cassidy) Bassett; nieces, Ciara (Mitchell) Varnish and Chelsea (Travis) Hutzell; great nephews, Noah and Logan Hutzell; and great nieces, Lilly Bassett and Emma Hutzell. Danny retired from the Ebensburg Center after 28 years of service. He had an adventurous spirit, loved traveling the world, and lived life to the fullest. Friends will be received at the church from 9 a.m. until time of celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, the Reverend Joseph Stains presiding.
