Patricia Lee (Harris) Murphy (1942-2016) (Picture included)
Patricia Lee (Harris) Murphy, 74, of Carmel, Indiana, was lifted into Heaven on September 16, 2016. She was born June 4, 1942 to Wyman and Frances (Bassett) Harris in Pensacola, Florida. In 1967 she married Larry H. Murphy and relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where she worked as an Executive Assistant at 3M Company for 20 years. She later enjoyed retirement in Decatur, Alabama where she was an active member of Autumnwood Baptist Church. Patricia was a member of the Boot Scooters line-dance group and most enjoyed Saturdays in the fall watching her beloved University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team. She was a loving mother to Cynthia (John) Babcock and proud grandmother of James L. Harris. She is also survived by sisters, Elizabeth Ann Hurrell, Frances Ellen Harris, and Margaret Lynn Harris (Dwayne Barfell); step-sons Timothy Murphy, Patrick Murphy and their families; Rachel Murphy; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry H. Murphy; her parents; two brothers, Randall Wyman Harris, James Kendrick Harris, and brothers-in-law Henry Hurrell and Robert Sontheimer. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 23rd followed by funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 3300 Summit Blvd, Pensacola, FL. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, Florida is entrusted with arrangements.
