William Thomas Bass
William Thomas Bass, age 83, born in Bay Minette, AL and a resident of Stapleton, AL died Monday, May 10, 2010 at William F. Green State Veterans Home. He was a self employed drywall finisher. He was also a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by: His Wife: Jeanette (Byrd) Bass, Stapleton, AL, 6 Children: Tommy (Venda) Bass, Stapleton, AL, Rebecca Ann "Becky" (Wayne) Tidwell, Stapleton, AL, Julia Marie (Joe) Hicks, Stapleton, AL, Laura Belle Bass, Stapleton, AL, William Leon "Bill" Bass, Stapleton, AL, Lora Elizabeth (Tim) Barnhill, Loxley, AL, 24 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: His Son: Woodie Kevin Bass. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Stapleton Baptist Church with Reverend Alan Lawhorn and Reverend J.P. Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Stapleton Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be James Bass, Jr., Jared Bass, Jody Bass, Blake Rider, Jeremy Hicks and Brandon Parker.
