Sr. and Abbegail Ackerman Bass. He was a widower of Susie Mae Hayes Bass. Survivors include two sons, Shelborn Bass of Kershaw, and Shawn Bass of Camden; three sisters, Mamie Belford of Lexington, Betty Webster of Camden and Irene Hall of Camden; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 11 a.m., today, July 24, at Refuge Baptist Church, officiated by the Revs. Don Knight and Julius Bunch, with burial in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Refuge Baptist Church, 2814 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, SC 29067. Baker Funeral Home is in charge.
