Amy Spilman and Brian Bass of West Bloomfield are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Brooke Renee, (Dalit Zehirah). Welcoming Brooke home is big brother Parker, 2 ½. Proud grandparents are Fran and Gil Spilman of Bloomfield Hills and Elaine and Stan Bass of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of Southfield. Sharing in their joy are maternal great-grandmother Minnie Silberman and paternal great-grandmother Minnie Bass. Brooke is named in loving memory of maternal great-grandfather Raymond Silberman and paternal great-grandfather Morris Bass.

Brooke Renee Bass
Brooke Renee Bass, daughter of Amy Spilman and Brian Bass, will read from the Torah on the occasion of her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on Saturday, Sept. 9. She will be joined in celebration by her brother Parker and proud grandparents Fran and Gilbert Spilman, and Elaine and Stanley Bass.
She is a student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hils. For her most meaningful maitzvah project, Brooke organized a returnable can and bottle drive to raise funds for donation to the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farming Hills.
