  Notes	Clifford Leigh Bassett Tichenor attended Columbia University and New York law school. He was captain of the track team in high school and on the track team at Columbia University. He had a heart attack when running a race at Madison Square Garden in his senior year of college. He married his high school sweetheart, Pearl Nielson. She attended New Paltz Normal School and became a teacher. Both Clifford and Pearl were avid singers. Pearl died after a short stay in a nursing home.
