Paul J. Lasewicz
Paul J. Lasewicz, 88, of Newington, died on Thursday, (August 7, 2003) at New Britain General Hospital. He was the beloved husband for 68 years of Alice (Ginszanski) Lasewicz, of Newington. Born in Terryville, Paul resided in Bristol before moving to Newington in 1968. He was formerly employed by New Departure of Bristol and later was self employed as a mechanical engineer. A loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he leaves four children and their spouses, Paul J. Lasewicz, Jr., and his wife Ann of Stafford Springs, William and Sue Lasewicz of Huntsville, AL, Frances and Ed Bassett of Farmington, Lorrie and Brooke Hardy of Oak Ridge, NJ; nine grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. He also leaves three sisters, Sophie Silverio of Winsted, Margaret Ierardi of Westport, and Nicky Lana of Martha's Vineyard; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held TODAY (Saturday) at 3:15 p.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. Interment will be private in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
