Mr. Bass, a retired supervisor, was a native of Lincoln County, son of the late George and Clemmie Leonard Bass. He was a member of Hulls Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Noel Bass; sons, Gary Bass, Ricky Bass, both of Vale; brothers, Donald Bass of Hickory, Frank Bass of Conover, Howard Bass, Robert Bass; sisters, Mrs. Helen Shook, Mrs. Frankie Mosteller, both of Conover, Mrs. Edith Sisk, Mrs. Mary Price, Mrs. Mabel Hammonds, all of Hickory.
