Bass, former advertising manger of the Orangeburg Times and Decmorat, died Sunday morning at Orangeburg Regonial Hospital. He was 74. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Dukes Funeral Chapel. Burial will be Tuesday at South Boston, Va. Mr. Bass was born in Halifax County, Va., a son of the late Charles Clifton Bass and Mrs. Lizzie Irby Bass. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Orangeburg Barracks World War I Veterans. He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
