She was a Florida resident all of her life, moving from north Florida to the Bay area in the late 1960s. She was of the Pentacostal faith. She is survived by two sons, Samuel J. Bass of Voluntown, Conn., and Jessie W. Bass of Perry, Fla.; three sisters, Lora Mae Sheffield of Cheyenne, Wyo., Gertie Buchanan of Mayo, Fla., and Mary Croft of Crystal River, Fla.; a brother, Boothie Sheffield of Tampa eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, October 6, at Graden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. lake Ave., Tampa, with interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. this evening (Wednesday) at the funeral home.
