Garland Bass to Be Buried Tomorrow
Garland Bass, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Bass, died at seven o?clock yesterday evening at the parental home, 840 Paxton street, from the effects of pneumonia, combine with a severe heart affection from which he had suffered for the past three years. For the past ten weeks, ever since he was stricken with a heart attack while driving an automobile, he had been losing ground and a few days ago the pneumonia development came, leaving scant hope of recovery from the outset. Mr. Bass was in 23rd year and was a young man of many fine characteristics and generally known and esteemed in this city.
The funeral will be held at Oak Ridge cemetery, South Boston, whither the remains will be carried at half past ten o?clock on Sunday morning, services to be conducted by Rev. J.M. Shelburn, D.D., pastor of the First Baptist church of which Mr. Bass had been a member for several years.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother and sister, Horace Bass and Miss Kathleen Bass.
