Jean Forsythe Bassett
Jean Forsythe Bassett, 76, of Youngsville passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. She was born on December 11, 1945 to Mr. William T. Forsythe and Mrs. Christine Dickerson Forsythe.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Paul W. Bassett Jr. of the home, her daughter Rhonda Bassett Parker and husband Steven of Maryland, two grandchildren Ethan Parker and Gabriella Parker, her brother Wayne Forsythe, and her sister Kaye Ellington.
Jean will always be known as a faithful servant of the Lord who had a kind heart that gave endlessly. She loved her family and the outdoors. Jean was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church in Youngsville. She enjoyed people and always had an incredible love for learning and teaching.
Per Jean's request, a private burial is planned. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to one of Jean's favorite charities, Franklin County Missions, Backpacks for Kids and Food for the Poor, or any charity of your choice.
